The NH-D15 is about the top of the line as heatsinks go. But your idle temps suggest a poor cooling solution, even if the Ryzen 3700X is a heat hog (I know nothing about your CPU). I would suggest taking the D15 off, examine the mount. Make sure it is all correct and that you use good TIM. Then put it all back together and measure temps again. Does ryzen 3700x come with thermal paste ...Jan 04, 2019 · 1.First thing I noticed is that temps were high in idle. In high 30 low 40s. But it was idle I didn't mind. But when I started playing I noticed after some time that my frame rate dropped from having 300 fps in csgo down to like 150. I thought to myself that can't be right so I checked and the temps were in the high 80s some cores were at 90°C. Jan 08, 2020 · By using static OC and voltage you most likely (not sure) cancelling the FIT controller of the chip and that is not good (silicon FITness controller). This controls PrecisionBoost and PBO by regulating clock, voltage, power draw in conjunction with temp. 1. Idle/low load voltage is perfectly fine at 1.45~1.50V depending the CPU type. Bear in mind though that this will also offset your idle voltage by the same value. As an example, with the default voltage settings, our 2500K processor’s idle voltage (at 16x CPU multiplier ratio) is 1.045V. If we subtract 0.05V from the full load voltage, the idle voltage will be reduced by the same value: The 3700x at stock (PBO off) is hitting advertised clocks in most cores. More importantly, idle voltage and temps are now settled after upgrading to BIOS 7501 (on an Asus C6H x370). I'm using Ryzen Balanced Windows Power Plan. So yeah, so far so good. Boy this's been a journey!

Big brother suomi janihey guys, in this video i am going over some of the things that I have come across and have learned about Zen 2. basically the idle temps are a bit high and they seem like they are like that by ...The 3700x at stock (PBO off) is hitting advertised clocks in most cores. Apr 21, 2017 · The Ryzen CPU automatically disables all the power savings when the multiplier is raised so the benefit of this option is being able to overclock while maintaining speed and voltage cycling depending on workload. When the load is heavy the system ramps up to full speed and voltage but when idle it down clocks and lowers the voltage to save energy.

Idle temps do seem to bounce around somewhat with it constantly settling between 36c and 43c and under load running Prime 95 the processor settles around 62c. Of course it is hard to show any sort of performance increase over the R5 1600 without many benchmarks etc but take my word for it the Ryzen 7 3700x is worth the investment.I have a 3700x with stock cooler and x570 Aorus Elite motherboard. Newest bios and only xmp and pbo enabled. In cpu-z the core voltage at idle jumps between 0.192V and 1.488V, while under load it stays consistent around 1.344V.

In idle the voltage peaks, but ...Some voltage spikes which cause my 360 rad increase in RPM but only in idle and I don't hear it with headphones and when ina game paired with my 1070 its great and rad is quiet I upgraded from a r5 1600 and the upgrade to 3700x was really night and day I saved so much time with Editing videos and rendering and seen an FPS improvement in games.

Update : I did a new test with lower voltage and AMD Wraith Spire Cooler I finally got my hands on AMD Ryzen 7 1700. This is a nice and cheap Octa-Core Processor running at 3.2 GHz on all cores with precision boost enabled. This processor isn't going to beat Intel Core i7 6900K, but…

  • The Thermal Design Power (TDP) is the average maximum power a processor can dissipate while running commercially available software. TDP is primarily used as a guideline for manufacturers of thermal solutions (heatsinks/fans, etc) which tells them how much heat their solution should dissipate.
  • -I don't know if it's normal but the CPU voltage is fluctuating at idle. I installed the latest BIOS (B450 Tomahawk) along with the chipset drivers and applied the AMD Ryzen Balanced power plan, but it didn't work. However, I haven't had any issues with the CPU since owning it. Overall Review: Yes.

I idle right around 50C, with voltage jumping around 1.45-1.475V. Reapplied thermal paste for no gain, and have seen temps as high as 95C after running Prime95 for only 10 minutes.
